CLINTON – Clinton County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Eric Van Lancker has announced that absentee ballots for the November 6, 2018, General Election are available to be voted in the Clinton County Auditor’s Office on Monday, October 8.
Absentee ballots may be cast in the Clinton County Auditor’s Office at the Clinton County Administration Building, 1900 N. 3rd St., Clinton, IA, during regular office hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, through November 5. The Clinton County Auditor’s Office will also be open Saturday, October 27, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, November 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Absentee ballots must be requested in writing. Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office, on the Clinton County Web site at www.clintoncounty-ia.gov and at the Iowa Secretary of State’s Web site at www.sos.state.ia.us.
All requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m., October 27. Ballots returned to the Auditor’s Office through the mail must be returned and postmarked by midnight, November 5.
